Mission
​As we approach the end of the mandate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), many targets remain unmet. To bridge this gap, it's crucial to allocate more resources and carefully select projects within each SDG to maximize impact. Our mission is to bring more visibility to the SDG's, EA and showcase examples of cost-efficient organizations that tackle these goals. This platform aims to accelerate meaningful engagement and empower individuals to tackle the SDGs effectively.

Vision
Effective altruism is focused on maximizing positive impact through evidence, cost-effectiveness, neglectedness, and tractability. Since these factors can sometimes be challenging to evaluate, we encourage users to think critically and collaboratively, exploring effective approaches to tackle the SDGs. At Effective SDG, we recognize that the information we provide is not the definitive guide to solving global challenges. Instead, we aim to inspire individuals to discover even better solutions. You possess unique skills, connections, and determination. Only you can assess where you can have the greatest impact—whether through your work, volunteering, activism or donations.
Our story
We created this website with a simple goal: to help people find the best opportunities to make an impact on the SDGs they care about most. We're passionate about both the Sustainable Development Goals and Effective Altruism—a movement driven by the belief that we can use evidence and reason to create a better world. For those in wealthier countries, two of the most powerful ways to contribute are through direct work and donations. We’ve focused our efforts on researching the most effective donation opportunities to advance the SDGs, and we share this knowledge here to empower others to create meaningful impact.
